All together!

We're at the Puebla Zocalo about to have some dinner and off to bed! Tiredness seems to be the theme right now, with great hapiness, but tiredness nonetheless!

The car is running great and the spirits are running really high!

What an amazing experience!

At the service stop!

A good morning, the gearbox is working great! Just checking minor details from last night's work. See you in Puebla!

Alive and well!

The unrelenting 288 is back!!!

Changing the gearbox

It's location requires major disassembling to remove and change.... What normal people would consider a two day work, the Aguirre duo completed in 8 hours. Amazing.

Quick update

Sorry we haven't posted much, but yesterday before the service stop, the little 288 has a major malfunction with it's transmission and was unable to continue. After a few a hours of wating, the tow truck arrived and we took off towards Oaxaca.

In the mean time, we had contacted the office back home and had our guardian angel, Omar, bring the spare gearbox. He took a 9 hour bus and arrived just as Adrian was lowering the ruined one, talk about timing!

It was a long night with hardly any sleep for our driver and codriver, but they got it done!! The car is at the starting line, and we are on our way to the service stop, 75km from Oaxaca.

To say that Adrian and Guillermo are Superhumans is putting it midly.

We're very proud of our team and are charged and ready to give our all in this amazing race! We'll keep you posted.

Start day 2 - Oaxaca

Day 2 - start!

After a broken down transmission just before service yesterday, the car is back after an overnight transmission swap..!

And nothing like a good shine to make it fasy!

This is a 5 star service all the way, the cars are running a bit late, but it shouldn't be to long now!
